Some friends of mine are on a vacation in Costa Rica right now.
It definately has me itching to go on a trip.
I wonder how many people book travel plans while their family or friends are on a trip?
Not only does their travel remind us how great traveling is, but we also seem to have a small "keeping up with the Jones" mentality in this country. If my parents go to Cozumel, I hope they have a good time. If some of my friends go on a trip, I think to myself, why am I not in the Caribbean right now? My wife then gives me a look that implies she is thinking the same thing.
Then they send the pictures!
Seriously, it isn't bad enough that I have to sit in front of a computer all day, but now you are going to tempt and taunt me with pictures of tropical paradise? On sites like this one where you write a blog post with links to videos and pictures of you having fun. Seriously.
I wonder if there is a 12 step program for getting through the temptations presented when friends and family travel?
I should almost just lock my computer away right now.
It won't work though. I already looked at pictures of where they are going in Costa Rica. I am doomed to be tempted with those photos in my mind for the next week.
Somebody hide my credit card.
I'm at risk of making an impulse travel purchase.
