Playa del Carmen - A small city south of Cancun with a good beach, nice resorts and a long road (one block from the beach) full of restaurants, bars and shopping.

Cozumel - A magnet for scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts who enjoy the nearby Palancar Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world.

BAJA PENINSULA:

Cabo San Lucas - Resorts and golf courses line the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula.  The waves are too strong for swimming, but the views are great.
