Travel to Costa Rica this year for a great tropical vacation. Costa Rica vacations offer a great chance to relax and explore. You just can't go wrong when the Costa Rica vacation you have been dreaming of is known as one of the friendliest places in the world.
The peak travel season for a Costa Rica vacation is December through the end of April. Most Costa Rica vacations begin as you fly into the centrally located capital, San Jose. The main airport is Juan Santa Maria International Airport (SJO). People will sometimes spend a day or two doing day trips in the San Jose area before heading to other Costa Rica vacation destinations.
If you're looking for the beach, the Manuel Antonio National Park is by far the favorite beach destination for Costa Rica vacations. The park offers sandy beaches that are lined by lush tropical jungle plants and animals. The park is on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica south of Quepos.
There are beaches on the northwest coast of Cost Rica reachable from the new airport in Liberia. This area is much drier compared to the Manuel Antonio National Park beaches. If you're looking for a Costa Rica vacation with lush tropical surroundings, travel to the beaches on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
If you want to spend some time in the mountains, the Volcan Arenal National Park has rich bio diversity near an active volcano. The nearby Tobacon Hot Springs will melt your stress away. The Monteverde Cloud and Rain Forest Reserve offers high elevation adventure. Swing and walk through the treetops from platform to platform with bridges, cables, and secure harnesses. Make sure you bring binoculars and warmer clothes as the cloud forest is high above the forest floor and high in the mountains.
Purchase your Costa Rica airfare and lodging separately. Many Costa Rica vacation packages will have you sitting in one location for 7 days. Look for a Costa Rica tour package that will show you many areas of the country.
Have a great time on your Costa Rica vacation.
