Cancun has a large selection of all inclusive resorts.  Local restaurants, bars and hotels are hard to find.  There are a few night clubs and shopping malls along the main road, but most people just stay within their resort.

A man made beach streatches for miles.  The beach washes away over time and then they rebuild it by trucking in loads of sand.  This means there is no snorkeling near the shore as it is all sandy.
