Just 50 miles off the coast of Florida, the Bahamas are a collection of islands that boast white sand beaches, ample shopping, varied restaurants, numerous beach activites, golf courses, luxury resorts, and luxury yacht charter harbors. If you want to get under the water without learning how to scuba dive, try the Seaworld Explorer submarine that operates out of the New Mermaid Marina. The Nassau Yacht Haven is also the main departure point for fishing excursions.

US currency is widely accepted on the island along with the Bahamian dollar. The official language is english.
