Aruba is located just a few miles off the northern coast of Venezuela. Aruba is one of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. Travel to Aruba to find miles of pristine beaches, luxury resorts, active nightlife, shopping, and casinos. Some people refer to Aruba as the Las Vegas of the Caribbean. The island is geared toward tourism and some American chain restaurants and bars have established locations in Aruba.
The main tourist area in Aruba is along the southern coast line. Most of the shopping, restaurants, museums and activities in the main city of Oranjestad can easily be found along the main L.G. Smith Boulevard. Most of the resorts are all inclusive and have a price tag top go along with it. Beware of the time-share sales people unless you don't mind sitting through a presentation in exchange for some sort of complimentary gift such as a days free car rental.
