The nightlife and shopping is very low key as the focus of the island remains beaches and restaurants. Take a ferry from St. Martin or take a prop plane from Puerto Rico on American Airlines to reach the wonderful island of Anguilla. The official language in Anguilla is english, but there is a very heavy West Indies accent.

Popular beaches on Anguilla include Meads Bay, Shoal Bay, and Rendevous Bay. Favorite activites on the beaches include shell collecting, snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, and scuba diving near multiple shipwrecks and an underwater garden trail in Shoals Bay. Fishing excursions depart from Sandy Ground and Island Harbor. Windsurfing and sailing are available in Cove Bay.
